Via Fidei Pilgrimage is built to help people discover pilgrimages, follow sacred routes, keep a journal, and reflect on the story of the road. This policy explains what information may be collected, how it may be used, and what choices users may have.
Information we may collect
- Account details such as name, email address, and profile details you choose to add
- Pilgrimage preferences, saved routes, journal entries, prayer intentions, testimonies, and other content you create in the app
- Location information you choose to provide or allow when route, map, or pilgrimage progress features need it
- Photos, uploaded content, device information, diagnostics, crash data, and usage signals used to operate and improve the service
- Support requests, feedback, and safety or moderation reports you send to us
How information may be used
- Provide pilgrimage discovery, route, journal, testimony, and companion features
- Support sign-in, syncing, offline restoration, and account management
- Improve route content, product quality, reliability, and user safety
- Respond to support requests, moderation issues, or legal obligations
- Send product, service, security, or launch-related messages
Location and pilgrimage use
Via Fidei Pilgrimage may use location information to make route and pilgrimage features useful. We aim to use only what is reasonably necessary for orientation, progress, and related experience features, and not more than that.
Journal entries, photos, and testimonies
Private journal content should remain private unless a feature clearly indicates that something will be shared. Public testimony or community content may be visible to other users depending on product settings and surfaces.
Sharing
Via Fidei Pilgrimage does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that support hosting, storage, analytics, communications, authentication, or customer support, or when required by law, legal process, or safety needs.
Meta app events and advertising measurement
The app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure app use and the effectiveness of advertising for Via Fidei. It may send device identifiers, app launches, registration events, and interactions such as saving or first engaging with a pilgrimage, including the pilgrimage identifier and action. Meta also collects technical SDK information and crash diagnostics. Pilgrimage interaction data can reveal an interest in religious routes. Journal text, prayer text, and uploaded photos are not included in the app's custom Meta event parameters.
Device identifiers and app interaction data may be linked to your identity and combined by Meta with information from other apps or websites for advertising and advertising measurement. On iOS, the app requests permission through Apple's tracking prompt and sets advertiser tracking according to your choice. You can decline that request or change it in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Declining tracking does not prevent you from using the app. Non-tracking operational and analytics processing may still occur. Retention
Information may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to operate Via Fidei Pilgrimage, provide account support, resolve disputes, investigate safety issues, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product.
Your choices
Users may contact Via Fidei Pilgrimage for help with account support, corrections, privacy questions, or deletion requests. Additional self-serve controls may be added over time inside the product.
Children and minimum age
Via Fidei Pilgrimage is not intended for children under the minimum age required by law or platform policy. If you believe a child has provided information in violation of those requirements, contact the support channel listed on the support page.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated from time to time. When it changes, the updated date on this page will also change.
